WHO:Undergraduate Students in Any Field!
WHAT:A Special Undergraduate Poster Session @ The UT NEXUS Conference
Theme: The Interconnected Pathways of Communication and the Environment

NEXUS 2014 will gather professors and graduate students from all over the country and all around the world to discuss environmental issues. We want to invite – FOR THE FIRST TIME – undergraduate participation in a special poster session. Design a poster presentation BASED ON A PROJECT / PAPER YOU DID FOR A CLASS OR AN INDEPENDENT PROJECT YOU WANT TO WORK ON RELATED TO ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES. Then present that poster to the participants of NEXUS 2014!
WHERE:The University Center (Room TBA)
WHEN:Poster Proposals Due: Sunday, Feb. 9th
Proposals must be 250-300 words. You do not need to have the poster finished to submit a proposal. All you need is AN IDEA!
E-mail proposals to utnexus2014@gmail.com
Present on 2nd Day of Conference: Friday, March 7th
Proposals for poster ideas that are accepted for inclusion in the NEXUS Conference will be chosen mid-February. Students chosen to participate will be invited to a special informational session on Monday, Feb. 17th to discuss how to construct an effective poster for the conference. Posters will be due a few days prior to NEXUS.
WHY: Whether you're a business student, an engineering student, or a humanities student – presenting a convincing argument using both text and visuals will be crucial to professional success.
AND
Presenting at an academic conference (attended by national and international scholars) as an undergraduate will look great on graduate school applications and resumes!
